With animatronics the goal is to create an entertaining show. A good show control software package has the ability to make a good animatronic figure great. Even a simple figure has the ability to be a solid entertaining piece with some good programming and a little creativity. In the early days of animatronics, programming occupied a large time commitment towards completion of each show. With experience and improvements in technology, programming time has decreased dramatically. Realistic movements and good show timing, however, still take skill and a lot of work to get right.
